NUMBERS III

29.

One snowflake from the vast dark grey sky. Two tiny walkers in snow going to the same way. The same curves and turns. Balcony coffee breaks started in zero Celsius degrees. Winter coat on. Already yesterday so many greetings in mailbox. Thank you & ♥. Second breakfast as the day started very early. A pear, an orange, a few frozen strawberries, seven walnuts.

WINTER BITES, A GIVEAWAY

Dear dark November,

It is dark and wet. Mostly a very dark month here. The snow is melting. But I am very well, got soaked on my bicycle trip, but now again I am warm inside and brightened with watercolors and your words.

A parcel arrived with a smile and doorbell ringing, full of postcards that I made with a winter theme. Not the one above, I cannot show the picture as it would not be anymore a surprise for my friends then anymore. But the first batch of the postcards had some beauty mistakes. Still they are very fine, I am the only one to see the mistake I think. Still I don´t want to throw those winter postcards away. Maybe you might want some of them. A giveaway. Fifteen small piles of six postcards will be sent to some of you. Please, if you like to play, just leave a comment here with your email address. Sunday the 21st of this dark November is the last day to participate.

When the rain falls, I imagine the drops being small clover leaves. Fresh and soft touching on their way. In a big crossroad, where all the traffic lights are always red, there are street lamps higher than anywhere else. There in the light I can see the rain and how huge it is. Still very soft those invisible clover leaves. A hint of summer in dark November. I am not good in using an umbrella. But it usually rains only on my way back home. Where woolen socks are waiting. Lucky.

And now, cups of tea!

P.s. The Apple Blossom Meadow -print is back in the shop!

Edit: P.p.s. Yes, anyone anywhere can participate :)

TODAY I HEARD

Today I hear summer sounds of leaves dancing in the wind, yesterday the noon buses played puddles as piano keys on their way. The day before yesterday the sound was a lonely wind reaching everything it could touch with its long hems.

Blooming sounds has found a new home in a small wooden and glass box and traveled to a new town. Hopefully it plays the best radio tunes there.

Today a postcard was dropped from my mail box, over the seas from United Kingdom. Thank you! It is part of sweet Jill´s Today I Saw project. My postcard traveled back to the island last week, hopefully finding its way already to new hands.

The first orders from my shop were shipped yesterday and already I got a message that one had found its way to a new home, greetings to Helsinki! Kind greetings also to Singapore, where my painting arrived yesterday to a flooding city! Hopefully it is a gentle flood and only whispers on its way.

You all have been so kind with all your messages and orders, thank you so much, I have been smiling very much lately. Just to remind, my shop is still open this week and till the 24th of June before a small summer holiday.

Later this week you will find a small game here, please come back!

It is lunch time with scents of sweet tomatoes, avocado, basil and fresh warm wind on the balcony. My kindest summer greetings to you,

Anna Emilia

LAUANTAINA, Á LAUGARDAGINN, ON SATURDAY

Hello Saturday,

How are you?

It is sunny, but very windy here. I put all the blankets and pillows to the balcony to get a fresh scent, now the wind does not allow me to take them back. I cannot open the door as the wind pushes it back. Feels like strong wind storms of Iceland.

Saturday is laugardagur in Icelandic and it means a laundry day. The washing machine is humming. Iceland I will think a bit more as this girl walking towards the Vattarnes lighthouse comes for a visit to the town today.

Layers to hide from the coldness. The cherry branches are growing lime green leaves. Storms are signs of spring. Green tea with sage.

Have a warm weekend!
