FIRST SPRING TICKLES

A small train trip, many walks. More powdery snow. A few sun rays tickling all the corners. Reading a sentence here and there. More frozen windows. Spicy broccoli soup with coconut cream, ginger and lime juice. What about a few pancakes with grandmother´s raspberry jam?

Happy afternoon break greetings while the sun is already setting!

    1. Dear Merja,

The secret of a hot broccoli soup:

Anything from cupboards goes well. This time in the soup were boiling: onion, garlic and ginger. Broccoli, carrots and potatoes. Some crushed dried black chanterelles. Some water. Coconut cream, chickpeas, chili pepper, juice of lime, black pepper, salt, some cherry tomatoes.

Sweet and hot the same time!

  2. It seems you have had a cosy and pleasant afternoon! You have the gift of a storyteller!:) That book keeps lots of secrets and looks very interesting... Well, here we are still expecting the REAL snow, the last one has nearly melted as the temperatures are not that low. It's evening time. A cardboard improvised marionnette is waiting to be finished, I've just prepared a banitsa for dinner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banitsa), the fireplace is sending warmth... And I'll be blogging, until the banitsa is baking...;-)

    Have a lovely new week!

    1. Dear Rossichka,

Such sweet words! Hopefully you already got some more snow. Here the February brings already the sun back, but the snow will stay. My favourite month.

Banitsa, it sounds so good. Thank you for sharing it, I hope to find it on my small spring trip in April (:

      Enjoy the coming week!
