LUMI, SNOW, SNJÓR, SNÖ, SCHNEE, NEVE, NEIGE

Hello winter!

A morning walk with new sounds under steps in daybreak. Everything was more silent. Tiny steps of winter beings visible, they have been busy. The wind very sharp, the lake is still wavy.

Have a calm weekend, stay warm!

Is it so early? Or is it normal where you live?

  2. I can't believe my eyes, but it looks beautiful and so silent! I like the tiny steps - someone was surprised, too!:)
Maybe you would like to know the word for snow in Bulgarian? "Сняг", pronounced [snjag].
    Have a cosy weekend!:)

    2. That word for snow is very pretty too. "Snjak", I will repeat today while walking, as new snowflakes are slowly floating in the air (the old snow already disappeared).

    1. Happy to get your greetings from the beautiful Bournemouth. Hoping to be there again sipping coffee and playing backgammon like three years ago. (The last three pictures are from there: http://annaemilial.blogspot.fi/2009/11/postcards-from-big-city-and-autumn-sea.html )

  21. Looking outside it almost feels like Christmas time. It started snowing here in the area of Munich on Saturday and on Sunday everything was white!
Very early this year, many people haven't had a chance yet to switch to winter tires on their cars.
I like the suomean/finnish word for snow very much. Japanese "yuki" is not bad either.
    Have a lovely week!

    Greetings,
    Chisa
