A morning walk with new sounds under steps in daybreak. Everything was more silent. Tiny steps of winter beings visible, they have been busy. The wind very sharp, the lake is still wavy.
I can't believe my eyes, but it looks beautiful and so silent! I like the tiny steps - someone was surprised, too!:) Maybe you would like to know the word for snow in Bulgarian? "Сняг", pronounced [snjag]. Have a cosy weekend!:)
That word for snow is very pretty too. "Snjak", I will repeat today while walking, as new snowflakes are slowly floating in the air (the old snow already disappeared).
Happy to get your greetings from the beautiful Bournemouth. Hoping to be there again sipping coffee and playing backgammon like three years ago. (The last three pictures are from there: http://annaemilial.blogspot.fi/2009/11/postcards-from-big-city-and-autumn-sea.html )
(: How is it in there? Also there I once saw the first snow. Living high above it was beautiful to see the Taunus hills and see the parking lot under with darker squares after cars had gone to work.
hello Anna Emilia, i read you from France, in a city close to Paris, and it is incredible to see your pictures ! 3 days ago here, it felt like summer - the last warmth before real autumn. I wish we will have snow also :-)
Dear Anna Emilia In Spanish we say "nieve" My blog is called "lumii" and now I discovery that "lumi" also means "snow"? in what language? I love the serene beauty of your work ..
Yes.. first snow here too.. did not want it to come yet, but alas, it did. Lots of fires in the fireplace, warm blankets, and hot cocoa now. Enjoy your wintery weekend, Anna Emilia!
J'entends le bruit de la neige qui s'écrase sous vos pas, et l'odeur du froid, qui pénètre mes narines !!! Allez vous baigner dans le lac ....BRRrrrrrr..... Magnifique
first snow here in switzerland today. seems early. big white flakes dancing all the way from heaven .... nice indoors. more than a cup of tea. a fire and winterprojects to work on. welcome winter :)
Looking outside it almost feels like Christmas time. It started snowing here in the area of Munich on Saturday and on Sunday everything was white! Very early this year, many people haven't had a chance yet to switch to winter tires on their cars. I like the suomean/finnish word for snow very much. Japanese "yuki" is not bad either. Have a lovely week!
sneeuw :)
ReplyDeleteIs it so early? Or is it normal where you live?

We've had some snow this weekend too. So early. Coloured leaves with snow look kinda surreal.

I love your perspective. Just ordered two boxes of your greeting cards. I bought one box a while back and must have more. They are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteDear Denise,
DeleteThank you so much. Your cards will fly over the seas and oceans very soon with greetings of the last remnants of the first snow.
And the Polish word for snow is "śnieg" :)
