EARS OF A MOUSE

Hiirenkorvilla, we call the little buds on branches as ears of a mouse. Spring inside, sunny outside. The sound of melting snow on window sills. Yesterday the wind turned.

Happy afternoon coffee break greetings!

WINTER RAINBOW

Sunny days, snowy days. Skating days, rainbow in the middle of a frozen lake -days. Long walks and baking. And many brush strokes. Days when birds have started to sing outdoors again. The sun is warming, or at least I try to imagine so. Late winter, spring-winter, kevättalvi.

A spring rainbow.

Only a few greeting card sets in the small online shop left.

Hello to the new visitors through Design*Sponge 1 & 2!

Calm afternoon tea break greetings!

PINE NEEDLES UNDER YOUR SHOE

Wind singing in a chimney in the East Finland. Small early winter storm. Heaps of melting snow here and there, the ground has the same colours as the wool on my knitting needles, small earthy dots on natural white. Fire crackling.

Beavers are trying to build their home to one of the creeks close to the surrounding forests and fields. Such delicate work of branches, moss and clay.

Thank you to Design*Sponge for featuring my new items in my small online shop!

Thank you also to everyone of you for writing to me, for your orders and kind words! So happy.

The two pictures above are small details of a painting that I painted not that long ago of a sweet couple. Smiling greetings to London!

Happy new week, calm moments and first scents of hot apple juice with cinnamon!

IT JUST HAPPENED ONE EVENING

On Sunday evening. The winter. Radio was on and I was painting, the next moment I watched outdoors in the darkness, everything was white. It just happened. With its colors and light. Tastes and pinches on cheeks. Waiting for a new snow storm to arrive. The wind is already here, scratching the corners. Better to hurry to the post office.

Scents of green tea with apple, cardamom and coriander, happy Tuesday, so glad to have you here!

SPRING SEA

This was supposed to be a winter picture, but all in a sudden it feels more like spring and like a sea with its whirls of waves. Sea makes me to think of a wise author and a translator, who travelled with cargo ships over the seas and oceans working the same time. She said how important it is to know how to swim and how important it is to trust that the water carries us when thinking about life. That is good to remember.

Finally I am launching my own company. It is still some time to wait for all the paper work. There will be a small online shop too. I think some twigs are tickling inside my tummy because it is too early and cold for butterflies.

Lovely time: a new beginning, spring, sunset, middle of the week and just before dinner.
Enjoy this moment!

MEETING WITH BRANCHES

Branches and the sun are tickling my window. The balcony door is ajar all day, buds appear in a vase, arugula grows greener, bigger leaves every moment. It is a film festival in the town, a slice of broccoli-olive pie on a plate and mandarin green tea in my cup. In the evening some concerts and tomorrow a new painting.

How is your weekend?
Street lamps were just turned on behind the lake. Happy sunset, happy weekend!
