Good morning dear all of you,
A brittle rain shower woke this town up on my small morning walk. A blackbird is humming while tea water boils, it will be plain green for the first cups today. Radio host is telling about the sea weather forecast in the islands in Archipelago Sea. Wind speeds from different directions and many rain showers ahead. Here a new rain shower just started to drum the grass outside with a loud sound.
Mid Summer Meadow is a small painting I painted two days ago. It is my giveaway as a gift for your kindness. It is framed in a small wooden frame. If you want to be part of the game, please leave a comment and I will pick up a winner on Thursday evening at 19.00 EEST. Everyone is welcome!
A new morning, a new day, it will pass quickly, so let´s catch this moment (for me a breakfast with a berry smoothie and then painting).
Have a pleasant weekend!
P.s. The shop is still open for six days.
Edit: Vanya won the give-away, congratulations! (Please email me your address!)

Hmmm, I'm pretty far down on the list but I figure I'll try anyways. Your painting reminds me of my home in Michigan - I live in Florida now and won't be back anytime soon as I'm moving to England in the coming months. Every summer the dandelions would grow so thickly on the ground in my backyard that it reminded me of snow, only it was the summer kind, little bits of brilliant yellow like pieces of the sun.
ReplyDeleteI like your blog -it is so inspiring.I like the atmosphere and the mood it creates.I would be happy if I win your give-away

ReplyDelete:/ Uhm.. well I started looking at your paintings and drawings on your original site and i was a bit afraid to follow you on your blog.. it was strange because i can't follow anyone, but i recently just broke my habit and decided to add some of the nice little blogs I like, and the last one on my list was you because i bookmarked your site and i felt that if anyone knew that i liked you, i would have to share your blog with them haha.. i know.. hasn't that ever happen to anyone, really?.. so I really like your illustrations. I'm an artist too, kind of sort of in my own way. I like to dab into it. I need a job. I want to buy one of your paintings. Anyway, this is a bit too long for me. For anyone really.. I'm going to go now...
Keep up the artwork. :)
So beautiful.

All the best,
Danielle
...Looking through her window I see
ReplyDeleteDandelions scattered like yellow stars
Across an endless green sea,
And in the flowers, constellations
That tell of years gone by, what has been,
And of years to come, what will be,
Telling the story of her life,
Much like leaves of tea...

ReplyDeleteDear Anne Emilia,
ReplyDeleteYour picture reminds me of the time when I still lived with my family. My home village is surrounded by nature. Pine forests that smell sweetly of resin and earth, small rivers crawling their way through the grass, the fresh air filled with the perfume of flowers and honey, the tweeting of birds and the buzzing of bumble bees, sheep white clouds wandering along the sky ready to take you on a little journey, smelling the grass and the summer rain, baking cinnamony apple pies, watching spring flowers changing their beautiful little hats into seeds that are blown away by a soft summer breeze, believing that dandelion clocks are little fairies flying around to be caught to make a wish.
It’s a time that has spun the roots for a ever since long lasting love to nature for me.
Your pictures express to me what life is really about: simplicity and joy of all the little details in one’s everyday life, as well as hopes and dreams that make us human. We don’t see and appreciate them enough.
Best greetings, Sabine

ReplyDeletehello anna :) oh i love really the idea of the brittle rain - small and delicate, i know the feeling of it. sometimes there is a rain with drops so light and tiny that they get blown about on their way down just like snowflakes and collect themselves on eyelashes and eyebrows and hairs in such a perfect way. ah. i love that all of your writing is tactile - i can feel it.
ReplyDeleteHello! Just discovered your work and blog via http://kickcanandconkers.blogspot.com/ and I love it! xx

ReplyDeleteDear Anna,

Bye for now,
Carla from Belgium
Could you come for tea?
ReplyDeleteI'll bake something nice.
I think you would like my wee garden. I have a few roses, one olive tree, lots of lavender and a very large terrecotta pot with a lemon tree.
I understand if the distance between us makes your coming to tea a bit difficult
but i'm very patient... You're always welcome.
Warmest Wishes,
Trish
