Yesterday, in sauna with a friend. Swimming in a lake, like filled with icicles. So cold. Feeling so good. Twinkling stars above these swimmers, a few airplanes too.
Small simple things, make all so good. And to remember how interesting, different kind of lives there can be. Still so the same. These photos, that Jeroen Toirkens took, reminded me of that.
That first photo. Oh it made my heart jump! Amazing, amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh my -- the beauty and awe of the first snow! We got a storm before the end of October here in Maine, but I'm waiting for the pure white puffy sort of stuff to come tumbling out of the sky. Thanks for sharing these images...I've got my snow boots ready!

Oh, lovely! We had a few snowflakes yesterday in this part of Scotland, but nothing has stuck, except on the hills. In Canada when I was young we used to go from sitting in the sauna to jumping in fresh snow... I'm sure a lake would be better though! Warm wishes to you.
ReplyDeleteoh, that book is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeletekeep warm.
How I envy your wintry world! I am imagining it here in my studio by needle felting a reindeer...the antlers on those two in the last photo are so fuzzy they could be wool!
ReplyDeleteVoisin unohtua tohon ylemmän kuvan maailmaan.
