DREAM ON A DESERT

A dream last night about walking in a desert. All around was sand, it was night time. It was calm and perfectly cool air. A perfect walk. High on a narrow path of a sand hill. Down in a valley was a white lighthouse. It was very simple, but massive, no windows, just white painted stone. A moon was over it, an exotic crescent laying on its back. The sky was cyan. White lighthouse, pastel sand, lemon juice colored moon. It was so peaceful and so beautiful to look at the lighthouse from above. I wonder how small I had felt if being down in the valley. Next to the lighthouse.

Where could this exotic peaceful scenery be? In a place where the moon looks different than here, that is the only clue. And why a lighthouse in a desert? Neither sea nor water in sight.

Funnily after that dream I still felt like many questions were solved. Many new thoughts.

A drawing of mine in a hand painted-sewn-and-printed tote bag for KVTL. "Mommy does not manage it all."

A bit of colder days, time to breath a bit more freely with new paintings.

Happy afternoon break greetings with a cup of orange green tea.

  2. Gorgeous dream! I've been following your blog for almost a year now, you are so inspiring. You made me want to visit Finland one day soon.
I think your dream is about your inspiration. The night is the subconscious, the lighthouse is hope, the moon is the guiding connection with the conscious. There is water - life - inspiration very close...

  5. That bag is so fun! Love it. And what a beautiful dream. I've been to the desert (Arizona) a few times, and I love it. It is so peaceful and serene and cool and lovely at night.

  7. Such a beautiful dream! You must have reached a wonderful place in yourself... It reads like a 'step' dream, a dream you have because you have reached an important level in your life, for yourself. Congratulations :)
Also, it's easy and great to imagine, with the precise description you give!

  11. A lighthouse in the desert. I do wonder how our minds put such things together while we sleep. Although a bit impractical, it does seem lovely. Beauty mustn't be practical.

  12. thankyou for putting your dream onto paper...your lighthouses look like the early lighthouse in Alexandria....it was 450' tall and big fires were lit on it!
