HIDING FOX, JACADI F/W 2014, PART II

The one who is hiding in colourful leaves and winter flowers walks so silently with its soft paws. The winter flowers are covered in frost, shining in golden sunshine. The forests have turned to yellow, orange and red with their leaves. The sound of forests is rustling of fallen leaves under feet steps. Or paws.

For the ones who are adventurous little nature expeditors.

And for the ones who endlessly see interesting things.

And for even smaller ones that see every little detail.

And for the ones whose paws go from story to story.

For the ones who eagerly learn everyday something new.

For the ones with special occasions.

And for the ones that need to stay very warm, to expedite a little longer.

Winter Bouquet Collection is now available at Jacadi Paris with the Feather Collection with my illustrations. It was very lovely to get your messages and hear that you like the little owl. Hopefully you enjoy this little fox cub too!

Here the days are very colourful in the afternoons and misty in the mornings with frost. Wishing this moment would last a little longer and then the snow would already float and cover everything with its softness and brightness.

Stay warm in the weekend winds!

SOFT FEATHERS, JACADI F/W 2014

First snow might fall during the coming week at least in the North Finland. Time to be wrapped inside woollen softness, smell the fire in fireplaces after long walks in fresh darkening evenings and drink warm apple juice with cinnamon.

It is also time to have a little peek to Jacadi's new fall and winter collection. Some winter blooms are on their way, a hint of it as a small collar hugging a polar bear above.

But in a forest someone is calling "Hoo, hoo, hoo!"

It is a tiny owl, that has just woken up. The feathers of the owl are very soft.

While the owl is stretching, a few little feathers float in the air and fall on some colourful leaves of autumn.

Who could make a little nest on these leaves and feathers…

Soon we will see the second part of Jacadi's fall and winter collection with my illustrations. These Feather Collection items are available at Jacadi's site already.

Last year there were a deer, a squirrel, a little bird and a hedgehog in the Jacadi & Anna Emilia collection, you can see them here.

L'ours et le soleil -book is also still available (here and here).

Have a lovely Sunday raking leaves, enjoying the colours of changing landscapes!

SWINGING ON A BRANCH

Mornings, so silent, waking up with the light. Noons listening how the ice starts to melt again for once again. Breaking under steps, melting away. Streams around pebbles. A squirrel waits next to a mailbox. It must be the time when they roll their soft tails around new baby squirrels. Nests in fir tree branches swinging in the drama of the spring. (A song about a squirrel, take 1 & 2.)

Afternoons listening to new languages through radios. Reading new finds from the library shelves. Holding that black teacup once again, not always sure which of the green teas would be perfect for this moment. Choosing one called Limão. Taste of a sunny place, where the sun turns skin warm and brown. There is a bit of sleepiness in the air, the lemon taste makes the day fresh again.

Packing orders and a commissioned private painting of two siblings to their mother. Thank you to everyone for being here with me!

Evening for a concert of a favorite trumpet player, a few friends, a nice meal. A good welcome for the weekend.

Warmest thoughts to your weekend, make it a calm one!

AUTUMN DREAMS

Time to say good-bye for November, thank you for treating us well. The day to welcome the little sister of winter, called December. Usually it gives the first red pinched cheeks, fresh scent of frost. Quicker steps, steaming cups of hot.

Autumn Dreams, for the ones that want to sleep over the cold months. For My Pretty Room by Sessun. Heaps of blankets, candle light, scent of pine and cones. Wind outside, warm inside. Sweet dreaming.

Thank you over and over again for your comments, emails and orders. If you are ordering a Christmas present, please be in time! Like last year, I did my best to get all the orders on their way as soon as possible. However, if ordering late, I offer also this year a small option to surprise the one who gets the present, even though the real gift might not arrive in time.

Have a good day with the last of November.

MEADOW PICNIC IN PARIS

The lake is so blue these days. It is difficult to describe which kind of blue it is. A warm or cold, dark or covered with shadows of the waves in it. Or filled with sun rays. Shining and reflecting once in a while to the walls of this house. A spring blue, changing all the time.

It is warm again here. Time for having breaks outdoors. Some tea and fruits will always follow. This Meadow Picnic -illustration is for Sessun and their spring exhibition Chic Chic Chic, C'est Picnic. If you are in Paris between May 20th to June 11th, please go and have a picnic with them.

Based in South Africa, Nice Magazine has featured my work. It is wonderful to travel the world through all of you, your comments and emails. Thank you!

Blue skies and songs of seagulls to your weekend!
