MOVING LANDSCAPES

The roads that lead to the North where the Sun did not set, the sky was a roof and the sea a shower. Summer travels ♥

MIDSUMMER MAGIC

Happy Midsummer!

SAILING AROUND ISLANDS

Cloudy sky and rain far-away. As we depart from the dock, a few raindrops caress. Two rainbows and the sunshine arrives.

Birch trees everywhere, bowing towards the mainland. Wind is low, but the sails take us further for a while.

The fortress is in its summer dress. (And in its winter dress.)

There, far-away in the horizon, a ferry and the lighthouse Harmajan majakka. Rain and sun. The patchwork quilt of the waves, the sound of them.

The beautiful wooden sailing boat, starting to understand how wonderfully human beings have learnt to use the wind, to built and to sew the sails. To navigate. Sailing dreams came true.

At home, bicycle trips around curvy forest roads. Lupine meadows.

Lakes that are patched with yellow water-lilies and reflections from the forests and sky. A moment of mist.

Have a calm Midsummer with a little bit of magic and dreams, small expeditions!

SUNSET, SUNRISE ON MIDSUMMER NIGHT

With music and friends watching sunset by a lake on Midsummer's night. Small garden ferry floating with a bonfire on the lake. Guitars, ukuleles playing. Singing.

Bicycling up the hills and down again. On the other side of the city, by another lake with a small lighthouse, watching the sun rising again.

Seven flowers of last year. Bonfire last year.

Sunday for listening to the rain by a third lake, the small one behind my windows. Two swans are my new neighbors.

Have a good last week of June, filled with fresh tastes and sun kissed cheeks!

MOST OF IT IS GREEN AND BLUE

Sometimes it is difficult to believe that all the colors have been painted into this season. All different colors, all together in harmony. All mixed. When the morning rises or the evening sets, a bit lighter, a bit like behind a mist. Or behind a real mist. All the wonderful colors with moving shadows in shapes of clouds or trees or house corners. Or then all the wonderful colors with bright light, almost blind.

Colors, but the tones change all the time.

Slowly digesting the quick season. What a strength there is in blooming from a seed to a plant and fruits or berries.

A hot sunny week has started. Greetings from a shore with a book, from where I just bicycled home after the sun disappeared behind a forest hill. Night sky. Pink, orange, yellow, white and blue to the other side, if you turn your head. And that light blue continues and then again white, yellow, orange and pink before the Earth begins.

Have a calm new week. Good night.

P.s. Thank you ever so much for your orders, once again. Some items are now sold out, but if you would like to have still some of them, please let me know. Sweet all of you with emails, comments and just visiting here. Thank you!

SEVEN FLOWERS

Seven flowers, from seven different meadows for you to put under your pillow. A bit of Midsummer Eve´s charms middle of puffy clouds, some sunshine, probably more rain, hopefully a bonfire and a ball middle of birch trees.

Happy Midsummer to you, thank you so much for being here!
Many hearts.

EARLY RENDEZVOUS, A FAREWELL FOR A WHILE

Hello dear all of you,

Early morning of the Midsummer Eve and a walk while everyone else were still asleep. All silent, but the summer wind and Mr. Bunny, who I met many times on different paths. He was certainly having the most fresh breakfast of dandelions and a bit of the flowers of the allotment garden. Then we met on a meadow and I was already sure that he had marked the same route to his unplanned morning walk map.

Vanya won the give-away, congratulations! I will send it to you after my holiday as I still did not reach you. Thank you to everyone for writing your messages and wishes, every one of them I read carefully and keep in my mind, being so happy about them.

A bag is filled with a summer book and small provisions, in the afternoon I will travel 1937 kilometers away. Then on Monday some 4016 km more. We will meet in August again!

Bonfires, summer lake waves, warm forests with wood-sorrels and meadows of green to you,
Please be well,

Anna Emilia

RUSTLING EMERALD GREEN

Last summer I was visiting my brother for one week. While he was working, I was building his birthday gift, an evergreen tree, on his wall. Some days it was hot and I had my tea breaks on his balcony. Some days were very cold and I wore his huge woolen socks while painting.

Even it is hot today, I am wearing woolen socks, the best socks ever, knitted by my grandmother. She called me yesterday and told me that she had seen good looking strawberries by the square market. "Me too", I said. She had passed them, as she thought that the best ones come from my parent´s fields. "Me too", I said. Then she had seen some peas. "Me too!" She could not pass them. "Me neither," I said.

It is wonderful to read all your comments, thank you for saying hello and playing the game of give away! It is still open for one day, so is the shop.

Evening greetings,
see you tomorrow!
